Decisions, decisions, what shall I make...
- I need help. I have less then a week to decide... maybe random strangers and friends could help me decide... Should I go to study abroad in Florence, Italy or Dundee, Scotland???? You see I am an art student and I love old things. I am also a big fan of Harry Potter, Doctor Who, anything related to the United Kingdom. In addition to that I love good food, especially dessert. I also love art, which is an obvious. I do like some new art, considering my art is new I have to like some of the contemporary artists out there, but I really love art that was produced during and after the Renaissance. This is a once in a life time experience and I am confused... You don't have to tell me where to go. But if you have information, dirt on either place. The gritty things that don't get posted online. That would be great. Thank you in advance for any input.
Announcement Time
Since I have gotten into the BFA Painting and Drawing Program, I will start selling my art from previous years. A lot of the art from previous years have not been posted on my account. I have an Etsy Shop where I will be selling the pieces. I will start posting past works on tumblr, and if anybody out there really likes a piece I will be willing to hold it for you until I set everything up on my Etsy account. I will start selling once the semester is over. 10% of the money gained from a piece will be donated to GRASP or some other Autism Organization. I have always said that and my word will be kept. The rest of the money will be going to my savings account where it will be eventually used to create more art and/or to travel and be inspired to create art when I go study abroad in the Fall of 2012. Either way you will be helping people with Autism, since I have Asperger’s Syndrome myself.
My life goal/dream is to become successful in order to help inspire those with Asperger’s Syndrome or ADHD, see that they can do it. If I can do it, then they have the ability to do it as well. This is why getting into the BFA program is so important to me. I”m proving people wrong, I’m fighting against the barriers my “disabilities” hold me in. I’m spreading awareness. I’m doing the impossible. Studying abroad is part of that plan. Going to study in a foreign land, where they speak a different language. Traveling alone. Forcing myself in an environment where I have to spread my wings and fly. A bigger leap then going to college 2 hrs away from home. 3-4 months away, to learn, to create, to become inspired. I want to make sure that it is possible to travel to buy art supplies by selling my work.
I hope that someone other than my followers (aka real life friends) read this.
