Doctor Who Experience handed keys to new Cardiff home
The attraction, which features sets, props and memorabilia from the BBC series, closed in London in February to make way for its move to Cardiff Bay.
The new 3,000 sq m building is at Porth Teigr, next door to the BBC’s Roath Lock studios, where Doctor Who, Casualty and Pobol y Cwm are produced.
The exhibition is expected to attract up to 250,000 visitors a year.
The internal fitting of the building will take place over the coming weeks.
Lalalala. I’m totally going… on top of going to London to go to the Harry Potter Studios Tour. London+Harry Potter+Cardiff+Doctor Who=Ultimate FUN and OBSESSION.
On top of that after my final art history exam I was getting coffee at Seattles Best and the girl behind me was wearing a Tardis on her shirt. I just stared. 3rd time I have ever saw someone where a Doctor Who t-shirt. First time was on my birthday in 2011, 2nd time was last semester in the dining hall and third time was today.
